You may be asked a number of seemingly insensitive and unpleasant questions when applying for travel insurance. Try to remember that the person asking the questions doesn't have a personal issue - they are just reading a script.
Here is a list of the type of questions you may be asked to prepare you in advance:
Do you have a medical condition?
Do you have any undiagnosed symptoms?
What is the condition?
When were you diagnosed?
Are you waiting for or currently receiving treatment?
Have you been an inpatient recently?
When were you last seen by a consultant?
Was your Cancer completely surgically removed?
What treatment did you receive, when did it finish?
Are you on any prescribed medications/strong painkillers?
Has the primary cancer spread to any other site?
Has it spread to more than one site?
Any local recurrence of disease?
How often do you see your doctors for review?
Have you been advised your condition is currently active, progressive or too far advanced for effective treatment?
What was/is the stage/grade of your disease?
Have you been given a terminal diagnosis?
